Conclusion

During my intership I sucessfully developed a tool to generate a forest from the elevation of it canopy.

To do so I had to familiarized myself with the concepts and methods of behind geographical information systems. I used PostGis to manage a large amount of Geographical data.

I had also to understand the concepts and challenges of Electromagnetic simulations.

The most enjoyable part of this experience was leeway I had to propose new technics and methods to achieve my objectives.

After my internship, some improvement can be added to the model.

Railway and road are not well segmented. This can have an impact on the accuracy of the electromagnetic simulation. In deed, the railways have a higher conductivity and the roads have a lower conductivity than there surroundings. Moreover, railways are composed of two parallel conductors. They act as wave guides.
